Lacrima Di Morro d'Alba

I've never even heard of the grape Lacrima Di Morro before, but it was a really interesting wine. Just thought if anyone wanted to try something totally different, this would be the wine. I've never had a red wine that tasted like orange peel and smelled so strongly of flowers before. Very inky and dark. Not a wine for everyone, but definitely unique...

I had some a few years back on a trip to Italy. I think it is a fairly rare grape of Italy and if recall correctly, the wine we had was a blend with Multepulciano. It was very, very floral. An interesting change of pace.

I've not had it - I've read about it, but forgotten I had. I grabbed my trusty copy of Vino Italiano and looked it up, where it was generally compared

to beaujolais - as you guys mentioned, fruity / floral.

I'll keep my eyes open, though Le Marche is not usually represented at my locals, and when there are wines from the region, usually rosso conero or

rosso piceno. There are a couple of shops that specialize in Italian wines I like to visit when I'm in the vicinity, so I'll check next time.
