adic88 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Clear 92/100 for me, with potential to hit 94 given a bit more time. If cigars were women, this would be the GFE!
SCgarman Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Are these currently available for sale? Since they are fresh, will they go through a "sick period" where they need to sleep for at least a year? Would love to try these!
Colt45 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Are these currently available for sale? Since they are fresh, will they go through a "sick period" where they need to sleep for at least a year? Would love to try these! They are produced in small batches - let Lisa know if you are interested. To the second part of your question, I can only give you my opinion having smoked just two. I'd suggest smoking them early - after getting the moisture down, or leaving them as you said, for a good year or so. Again, just my opinion.
anacostiakat Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Great review! I think I received mine in Sept and smoked one of each on Christmas eve and New Years eve or New Years Day. They were both very tasty but I felt the Czar would benefit more from time. I was planning on trying another pair end of this year.
Van55 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 It was a year ago this week that Chuck passed. May he RIP. This review was a timely reminder of Chuck. I can only say I wish my experience smoking the beautiful Tampa paralleled yours. Mine turned out to be unsmokably wet. But that's on me, not necessarily the cigar. Great review and thanks.
dicko Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I got a 3pk. Smoked one right OTT (i believe i was the first to review one of foh'ers because i couldnt wait) and it was awesome. but yes it was wet. I agree with Colt, smoke straight away (after a dry box) or wait a while. I dont like cigars in the 2-4 month period after purhase (the dreaded 'sick' period). Having said that, I havent smoked another one so they may be smoking fine. In fact, a couple of guys said they have been.
ajgagnon Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Lordy, those look good. I hope to get in on the next run. Looks like best of the best in materials, and it looks wild and lively with the shaggy foot and yet so smooth and composed for the rest of the cigar. Thanks for the review, Aizuddin. Well done, Rob. Highest respect for your crew in Cuba as well.
jerseyjay Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Great review and sounds like a delicious cigar !
adic88 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 The home run was the cigar. I just told it like it is.
