traded Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 There was a local B&M I used to go to that got a box of Trinidad Fundadores (actually a ziplock bag of sticks). I heard the story of how the guys got them and it was lame. They had no aroma and were of varying sizes and shapes. I saw them as fakos from the get go so i didnt purchase one. The guys gave me one for my wedding and I gave him the gracious song and dance. BTW: he was charging 60 usd per stick. I had been avoiding smoking it but here we are. aroma at cold is absent first **** is very papery and powdery on the palate. Second **** is the same Third **** changes into a harsher version of the above...dirty paper? anyhoo, very sad as I love Trinidad cigars...alas, no good. d
melies Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Your image was not posted but i have gotten trinidad fundadores that are heaven and others that could pass as fakes...all bought from LCDH store.

I dont know whats up with the image....I can see it in my posting.. So I too have had variability in fundadores but i thought this one was well outside that range. It also burned ridiculously fast...35-40 min for a stick that usually takes me 1.5 hrs. D
El Presidente Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Seems to be a recurrent flavour profile with many of these fakes
