Black ash, as in the picture above, has happened to me often enough that I have come to associate it with Habanos. The only cigars I have smoked that produced such black ash have been Cuban.

Ive noticed this as a big difference between CC's and NC's, the darker ash levels.

That cigar is damn dark in your photo Aiz!

Am I right in thinking that dark ash is a bad sign? I always thought dark ash was produced from an incomplete combustion. How was the taste?
