Let me share my first ever cigar review in English with you gentlemen, please. I apologize my flawed language skills.

Cigar smoked today: Partagas Lonsdale CVA AGO01.

Music: Tasavallan Presidentti (A Finnish prog band from the 70's). Drink: Coca-Cola.

Box pressed, firm construction. Sweet tobacco as the cold scent. Tight draw, just the way I like it.

Mild toasted peanuts with strong smoke flavour on the background. Some kind of an oily perfume, nice. Immediate indescribable scent of fine and mellow tobacco in my smoking room. Cream - mild, but rich and full. The music takes me away for a while "I love you teddy bear", wonderful song. Toasted and smoked tobacco. Creamy pepper sneaks up gradually. Pepper keeps getting stronger and stronger. Ash is firm and dark grey. What is this taste of toffeeish purple perfume? Weird but gorgeous! Cream with sugar and toasted tobacco. It is the first time, that I experience a flavour of well matured cheese in a cigar - yummy! Oh my God, this cigar is so delicious! Do I dare to say? Yes, I do. I have a drop of water in the corner of my eye. I keep smoking with my eyes closed. Hints of thyme.

Radical change. Strong pepper and fried cream. Burning gets harder at the same time, but I'm not disturbed. Dark peanuts. Scent of fresh leaves of birch. Salty toasted tobacco and cream. Toffee. Caramel. Sugar. And tobacco again. Conifer forest in the summer. Irrationally wonderful tobacco - for a long time. No pepper anymore. I feel very delicate. Not able to write anymore...

Strong peppery tobacco. Delicious tarry cream. The journey continues with mellow, round, but at the same time strong tobacco, including transcendental bright aromas every now and then. I open my eyes.

Burning time 1:45. Nice floral and tobaccoish aftertaste, which transforms to cinnamon after half an hour.

The best ever cigar that I have smoked! I am illuminated. Thank you Partagas, and greetings from heaven!

Peace & Love !!!

DB, I thought that I was the only one that drunk a Coke along with a smoke. I find that colas do complement cigars every now and then...

Great review... and might I say... a fantastic use of the English language to describe a great cigar. I've got a number of these from late 90s to early 2000s and have enjoyed them all (except for a couple of plugged ones).

Very nice review of probably my favorite cigar. Only have a few left; wish I had bought more then and could get more now!

I agree with you on a number of your flavors, pepper and peanuts and aged cheese rind being one I consistently found in this smoke (along with a black truffle earthy component on the older ones.)

Well done. The partagas lonsdale is truly a complete cigar, in my opinion.

I've got one of these beauties sitting in my humidor that dates back to 1975. Gotta find an opportunity to fire her up.
