Montaigut Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 For my taste nothing beats a good plank grill. Fish on western red cedar, meat on alder or maple. There are lots of great plank recipes available on the web. I admit having a weakness for salmon on cedar and my favorite is recipe is a Jack Daniels and maple glazed fish. While the fish and plank are soaking I feel absolutely compelled to share in that fate. A Cohiba Maduro along with a single malt (either Highland Park or Scapa) does it nicely. And the aftertaste of the Maduro goes well with the salmon. To finish the day, the coup de grace is given with one of my perennial faves (Montecristo No. 2) and a Poire Williams. What can I say?...
