BrodieTheDog Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I have about 40 cigars i would like to figure out how much they are worth. I am looking for resources to help me. I am stumped as to where to look. Some of my cigars are vintage and i am having an incredible time trying to find info on what they could fetch on the open market. I am only looking to satisfy my own curiosity and possibly insure them if they are valuable. Any help would be much appreciated. Please PM me if any of you have useful ideas.
rckymtn22 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Check some websites and workout what you have. Should give you a good idea at least ball park.
thechenman Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 They are worth as much as someone is willing to pay you or trade you for them...
Jesuscookies Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Maybe you should list a few to give us an idea of what you have. Cigar prices vary TREMENDOUSLY, based on age, condition, brand, history, etc, etc...
Puros Y Vino Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 List off what you have. Also, see if you can get access to recent auctions by either Sotheby's or Christies. They no longer do cigar sales but surely they have records of past auctions.
Cohiba007 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I've got some oceanfront property in Arizona. Perhaps we could work a trade
PigFish Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Mr. Pigg is willing to help for half the cigars that he appraises. If Mr. Piggy smokes 2 cigars while he works, one mareva of a recent vintage and one julieta #2 from the '80's, tubo of course, what is the exact number of cigars rolled at the Partagas factory on the third Thursday of February 2112? How many of those cigars will have no draw if tested? As a percentage basis, how many of the cigars will be rolled with the underside of the wrapper leaf facing outward? Please show your work! -
Puros Y Vino Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I've got some oceanfront property in Arizona. Perhaps we could work a trade He may have some of those coveted "red dot" Cohiba's. You might just give up that Arizona property once you see them.
