danclough Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Planning on buying a few 3-packs as Christmas gifts...what should I buy dudes?
reliefdvm Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 If you are looking for just a general cigar to give away I don't think that you can go wrong with the RyJ Churchills. If you want to drop a little coin then one of the Cohiba siglo IV would be my choice, or a H. Up Mag 46.
anacostiakat Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Here is another thought. Both the RyJ and Cohiba tubes make nice presentations. But if you add the new Punch green tube and make it one of each that might make a quite nice presentation for the holidays or whatever. Just a thought. Not a sermon.
seeacon Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 I think it depends on how experienced the giftee is. If theyre relatively new to cigars then I find Upmann corona juniors to be ideal, as they're a nice, accesable smoke and not too pricey (so its not a waste if they're not fully apreciated). For more the experienced I think the PSD4/P2s are the best for presentation or sig VI's for immensity and acclaim.
archosaur Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 But if you add the new Punch green tube and make it one of each that might make a quite nice presentation for the holidays or whatever. To add to this, you could pair the green Punch tubes up with the BRCs in the new red tubes and really play up the Christmas red and green effect! For me, the Siglo tubes are really impressive in their presentation, and would make fantastic gifts. Plus I think they are all sold in 3 packs (or 5x3s). That would be my suggestion. Have had good luck with Cohiba tubos in terms of quality as well.

That's the gayest thing I've ever heard! Brilliant, too. I like it.
danclough Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 Thanks for the suggestions guys, especially the christmas color coding ones. I never would have thought of that! The best part of giving cigars as Christmas gifts is that I feel obligated to "taste test" a few different ones to make sure they're gift worthy. A daunting and grueling task indeed. I've pretty much got 3-packs of all the suggested stogies on the way, so thanks again guys!
