bigfunkyg Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Recently swapped my Blackberry for an iPhone. I do quite like the iPhone although there are some trade offs between them. I went on a search for Cigar related Apps and found a few: Habanos Club - put out by Phoenica TTA (a distributor) has a some information regarding all Habanos brands including some pics. Nothing overwhelming but good info. Puro Express - The Cigar Application. This one was crap. Nothing overly useful. Did have a my Humidor but no custom data can be added Mobile Stogie - This one was the best I found so far. Lots of CC and NC in the Data base and you can keep an inventory in the my Humidor. Lots of custom informatio can be added to each. Seperates cigars into current production, Special release and Discontinued (but no info on when cigars were discontinued. I think I paid $3 for this one it is it almost worth it. Anyone know of any others? How long till the Czar app is avaliable? G
lemmycaution Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I have found that the one I use the most is Mobile Stogie. I like being able to have the box codes and other info at hand. Perelman's is really great for individual cigar info but it doesn't have anything on Habanos. So for us, I guess it makes it useless. I'll have to check the Habanos Club, I haven't seen that one yet.
namithajay Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I agree....Mobile Stoagie is the best that's out there....really not much available.
Mr.T Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I'm going to get the new iPhone and am excited about finding some cigar apps....I read in the last issue of ECCJ that Perelman's plan to have a mobile app for Habanos cigars by the end of the year.....
ChanceSchmerr Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Another vote for Mobile Stogie. I use it all the time, Great way to keep track of my cigars not only at home, but those in the Czar Locker!
Cearbhaill Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 I thought about giving mobile stogie at try, but thought that the likelihood of my keeping it updated was not good. I'm doing something a little bit different. I use Evernote. I set up a notebook for Cigar Reviews, Inventory, and Wishlist. This way I can add to it whether I am on my laptop, desktop, iphone, or any computer with a browser. For any reference questions that I might have.. I just use safari & google.
samb Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Android has "Rate My Cigar". Pretty good app, can add whatever cigar you want, rate it, add notes, add price, add quantity. Has a random select feature, if youre unsure about what to smoke that night.
