It seems the Behike Range (52, 54,56) is on the shelves again at your preferred supplier, I am sure there are many reasons for, but from a complete sell out at most vendors to quite a number being available again smells of the distributors only offering limited releases at a time to keep the prices high, maybe they learnt from the Cohiba GR that was expected to sell out globally in a very short time but is still today available. any thoughts on this from those in the know ?

"To be fair to this opinion piece" my Palate is up the creek Currently (coming out of a flu and sinus issue week) but i purchased a Behike 54 SIngle from LCDH in Melbourne (PCC). i wanted to dance with this cigar for a few days before lighting it up this week (Dancing is how i describe Cutting and smoking the "unlit" cigar at cold. this gives me a feel and taste with a touch of companionship with the cigar before smoking.

before cutting i gave the 54 the customary swirl around the mouth before the cut (as to get a better cut with moist tobacco) and i tasted plastic, cheap garden hose plastic, this was very strange.

Today whilst "dancing" i kept getting the flavor profile of """"Sucking air through a cheap rubber hose taste"""""""" from this cigar.

Is this the Medio Tempo being used ? has anyone else had this flavor profile ? is it in the sick stage which i usually find more acidic rather than plastic, or is it as i suspect just my Sinuses ????

thoughts please

200,000 of each will be made annually.

First release run was 20,000 of each. Demand some 5:1

Second release became available last week. It was pitifully small. It will be at least half a year before supply meets our current demand.

From a taste perspective, I haven't heard a bad thing about them as yet. Those that I have tried have been excellent though. looking forward to the experience of others.

ok Maybe its not in my Warped head,

The taste (un-lit and at this stage unsmoked) i am picking up is very similar to the Odur that the plastic wrap and the felt case that surrounds the Black lacqer box.

anyone else ????????????

I've experienced the exact odor and smell that you've described on all the Behikes box's of mine. That cheap rubber hose smell. :D

Haven't tasted it yet simply because I've not smoked one yet. I immediately removed the plastic and they are beginning to smell really good. I mean really good.

Can’t wait to try one now.

I noticed the horrible smell from the felt sleeve. I immediately removed the cigars from the box and put them in one of my humidors. Half of the cigars were going to a friend anyways and I am limited on space in my cooler. Plus I didn't know how much residual smell would be left on the box and didn't want to risk it. Still have't smoked one yet. Planning on waiting until the end of the year (New Years, wedding anniversary). Hope I don't get a hint of garden hose.

I also noticed a plastic smell throughout. It is extremely prominent and due entirley to the plastic wrap and felt sleeve.

Please God tell me, that HSA in an effort to improve presentation... didn't jeopordise the cigars themselves.

I find all of the above interesting. I purchased a 56, along with a friend recently. As they were singles, I didnt even think about the smell from the box permiating (sp) the cigar. I didnt notice any odd smells with mine, but I was having a bad sinus day.

Personally the one I have is fantastic smelling! Cant wait to light it up on my trip to Hong Kong later this year!

Im Joel and thats my 1st post (except for the intro one)
