Sometimes when I come to Germany there are colleagues that want to go out and see the country..have a good time. Then there are times like this trip where I am the only person who has a desire not to sit in ones hotel room and veg.

Once again off to LCDH in Nuremburg. I hit gold almost on every try. I wanted to try cigars I have never tried before...expand my horizon a little. Perhaps find a nugget or two to add to my rotation.

I started of with a Vegas Robaina Don Alajandro. The first inch was quite mild and sweet yet rich on the pallet. Then the ligero hit in and took me for a ride I will not soon forget. At the halfway point I thought if the stick continues its path I will have to put it down. It didn't. A ver rich, rich cigar with a beautiful ligero taste...a cigar I will want every other month or so...I couldn't smoke it every day. Impressive.

I moved on to a Cohiba Siglo IV. If I struck out on a cigar this week, this would be it. Firm feel but a wind tuneel none the less. Sweet and mild...no complexity what so ever...enjoyable but not up to the Cohiba standards that I expect.

I then moved on to a Ramon Allones Alemenia Regional (sorry piggy) Little smoke at first but a spicy sweet taste. Enjoyable. Green. Has legs. Halfway point I was thinking a box. Smoke picked up and a rich pepper tast dominated...instead of finishing bitter like I supected such a green cigar would, it finished flat. box is out.

At this point I smoked a cigar that I can't for the life of me remember. I was about 9 beers into it and hadn't had dinner yet. I think I liked it. I'm pretty sure I like it.

Last cigar of the night was a Vegas Robaina Unicos... wonderful. Rich. Dark chocolate/ expresso. Finished rich and strong but not bitter...wonderful addition to my rotation. I will e hunting these down.

To the right of me was a stunning 22 yr old blond going to college in Nuremburg...her boy friend was a decent enough guy...to my left was a beautiful blue eyed blond who gave me a lift to the train station...ah to be young again...what the hell was that fourth cigar???

1 note to Trevor... I tried to set you up with a surprise for the 16th but they wouldn't commit...too much time in between...too bad. I hope you enjoy and don't expect much of the service... 2 ppl short. My avatar is of me at this lcdh 4 yrs ago. Pick a seat by the window...the view is incredable.

4 hours until my wake up call. ciao

Now you sure seem to know how to have a great time Tim! 9 German beers at an average of 5 - 8% alcohol volume will certainly leave your senses numb! ;) ;) So long as you have enjoyed yourself.

My very all time favourite cigar. You expressed it perfectly mate. :( Prez brought a box of these to our Melbourne meet not that long ago and this is where OZ had his 'Revelation'. ;)
