Hello all,

I find reviewing cigars pretty hard and admire all the wonderfull reviews published here on the forum. Hats off.

This is my first review, here we go:

Friday evening decided to have a Por Larranaga Magnificos.

The appreance of the cigar was sensational. Dark, oily wrapper. The way it should be. :wink2:

Upon lighting it, the cigars was present from the get go. Flavors of nuts mixed with green tea were dominant. It had a sweet note to it. It also smelled a bit of rose flowers/vanilla. Hard to describe the scent.

The cigar developed beautifully. Through the half way point the green tea flavors were pushed in the background and the nut flavors (with a hint of milk coffee) were more dominate. But still that sweet smell to it.

Overall this was a great cigar. It offered everything I was looking for. Paired it with a 2007 Pinot Noir from Germany.

Nice review. While the band is certainly magnifico, the couple cigars I've smoked have been only in the good, not great catagory. To my taste, the best PL REs are the often disparaged German Lonsdales.

Personally, I think that PL band is one of, if not the, best looking cigar band.

It's classy!

Agreed - here! here!

Got a box of 25 and 3 boxes of 10 --- best cigar released in the last 5 years. Fantastic cigar!

Fully agree. Unfortunately it is only a regional release. But it would be cool if this would become a regular cigar.
