mazolaman Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Hi All, We've just been to Switzerland for a bit of a holiday, and enjoyed a few smokes along the way. Including; H Upmann Magnum 50 - A bit bland, H upmann Magnum 46 - A lot better sweet and earthy. SChristobal La Punta - really good cigar, rich and flavourfull, without being too strong. San Christobal Officios - A bit dull, quite mild. Partags Edition Limitada 2010 -Bloody good cigar, with a really sweet oily wrapper, medium body, smooth and sweet. H upmann EL 2005 petit robusto size-nice cigar, but a bit monoflavoured. The best of the bunch was Bolivar Swiss regional Legandarios -Best cigar I've had in ages, smooth, medium, with lots of foral notes, and occaisional sweetness. lemmycaution Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Thanks for the pics, the Bolivar and Partagas look delicious.
mazolaman Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 This was taken in Stechelberg, south of Interlaken,in the heart of the Swiss Alps. We stayed in a walking hostel in this village, and this was our morning view! Excellent walking country. Then down to Gstaad, for a couple of hours,(too expensive to stay)!,then down to Como. Also got myself a r+j LE 2005 Pyramid, yet to smoke..... Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us This was taken from the Schilthorn, where bits of On Her Majesty's secret service was filmed. In the background is The Eiger, with its grim looking north face. I found a shop, named after me........... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
partagasd4 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 They look great! Looks like a nice place to smoke
mazolaman Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 It is a beautifull country, and there are still some places where you can smoke indoors, sadly they are going the way of Europe, and banning smoking (or at least making it very difficult to) in any public place. Some great cigar merchants along the way.
