PADDYWHACK121272 Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I could buy them, but, in all reality probably cant afford the individual cost per smoke... What are they 3 or so X the cost of a siglo VI?Im sure they're great, but are they worth the premium in terms of smoking experience to me right now? Probably not at the moment... yeah, agree exactly with that, and then I went and ordered some 54s anyway on the basis that the only way to have an informed opinion is to smoke a few. Buying and smoking cigars is one of the few 'irrational' things I do in life so for me taking a punt on the occasional fancy box does not keep me awake at night. Having said all that if they are ordinary or just good I will probably feel like a sucker for about a day or so.
AlexOk Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Buy th new Behike? I dont think so. For the money of one of them, i'll get a whole box of my favorite alldaysmoke (Por Larranaga - Panetelas).
MIKA27 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I really do not know the prices for these as yet be it for a box or for singles so it is hard to comment. I'm guessing they will be really costly however, I would love to buy a few singles and enjoy. I am much more looking forward to the Behikes than I did for the CGR's. Would love to know the AUD pricing for these....someone....?

dicko Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I can't really afford any cigars (still spend though!). I'm interested in this medio tempo blend and the packaging looks great (not something normally too interested in), thick rg is a bit off putting, 52 is fine but would be better if it was longer but 56 im not sure. realisticly ill wait a few months for things to die down then maybe buy a couple of singles for over xmas or something.

MIKA27 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Ah ha!!! Thanks for clarifying Lise, it's steep but not as bad as I thought it would be.
Mr. Japan Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 If you can affort to buy, then you have to smoke them :-) unless you are a merchant that makes money out of cigars .
lemmycaution Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I would love to buy them, but then again there are so many other cigars I would love to buy. I guess I will probably try them at some point down the road. Hopefully.
Mr.T Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I'd try one just to see what the hype is about the blend....I'm not a fan of the two big sizes they are offering. And I'd rather spend my money on regular production cigars and/or cabinets on quality aged hoyos, partagas, upmanns, montes.....and occassional EL or RE.
mazolaman Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 Thanks for all the replies. From my own point of view, they are out of my league, and would rather get 25 of one of my regular brands. it's interesting to see how many folk are willing to splash out and get them, and others are already splashing out to their limit on regular brands. I was also kind of interested to see if some would buy them to store away as an investment. Thanks,Kevin.
Ken Gargett Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 i don't wish to seem even more pedantic than usual but re the voting poll - first question, would you buy them or not (which is different to the 'can you afford them' suggestion but leave that aside), if you vote 'no', you would not buy them, you are then, if you wish to have your vote registered, forced to vote as to whether you would smoke them or keep them. so the poll wants to know if you would smoke or keep cigars you would not buy????
mazolaman Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 you don't want to be pedantic, but you will be anyway. Cost has to be an essential factor in such an expensive cigar. Most respondees have mentioned cost as the governing factor. Yes,the way the poll was laid out was incorrect,as I discovered myself, possibly due to my own computer deficiencies.they are interesting results, for the above reasons... So what happened to your spider thread?....

mazolaman Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 So it is,I'm going blind, too early in the morning here......off to work I go.God willing,or something like that......
mbranidis Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I bought a single (54) purely for the fact that you must try at least one. Not sure about buying a box though. The hype and marketing surrounding this cigar has inflated the price no doubt.
kafreeman Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Some folks from the land of cheese are selling the BHK 52 for the same USD as the Czar is charging for BHK 54 in AUD. Seems to be profiteering, which I cant blame them for, as their prices for other stuff tend be less than the Czar. But what you get from the Czar is quality evident from graded boxes. Ive had some rough stuff come from the land of cheese. Unfortunately I havent made an order with the czar yet, but it is coming, as I dont feel comfortable with the new swisspost declaration requirements. While I may (likely will) pay more, I feel it is more "secure."

kafreeman Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I got some ROUGH Diplo 4's from cheese land. One was split / cut in the middle. Smoked ok, but man they look rough.
