Boli PB TEB June '08 HQ

Sitting on my patio with my wife enjoying a BRC HQ with a splash of Hennessy, I mentioned I'd like to get another box from FOH. No response....no smirk no nod....good enough for me! I went in and found Smithy in the humidor. Ah the stars are aligned gentlemen. I had my mind on a 10 er of Lusi PSP ( I have my mind set on doing a review of PE, HQ and PSP Lusi's) or an HQ or better of BRC's. No such luck. Smithy did have an outstanding box of HQ Boli PC but I had never tried this stick before and it is not my favorite format. Seeing that is was my favorite 08 code(TEB) that has never let me down I commited.

I smoked this one ROTT. Wow. I couldn't get my pic to load so I used Smithy's pic of the box.

Beatiful construction. Dark wrapper that I have become accustomed to with HQ Boli's. A slight sweet aroma at cold.

I lightly toasted the foot with my Xicar Habana lighter before using my palio to snip the cap.

I was immediately pleased. A beautiful draw with a nice dose of spice. This was right off a bit more than medium offset by strong floral bouquet mixed with cedar.

The cigar was a spice bomb through till the end which usually isn't my thing. The sweet bouquet evened it out. Hints of manure, a bit of pepper popping up now and then and I realized this might be a very special night.

The burn was razor sharp and the strength actually picked up. It was smoking hot but the sweet spicyness didn't let me down. This cigar was on track to be my best of the year. I sat there talking to this new found friend.. "I can't believe how good you are...what a nice surprice. Don't stop now BAAAABBEEEE I'M ALMOST THEREEEEEEEEE!!!)"

It finished the way it started...sweet spice...never bitter.

Oh what a night. A tip of the hat to Smithy for picking out an outstanding box that changed my perspective on the PC format.

Nice review, have been hearing good things about the cigar and been meaning to pick a box up. I love boli's but also have not been a fan of that format. Can't wait to get hold of a box thanks.

Have a box of 06's, 08's, 09's! The 08's were super spicy and rich!!! Exellent cigar and will always be my go to robusto. The 06 is creamy and smooth, with a touch of nutmeg spice and the 09's are lighter, but just as rich as the 08's. They smoke good right out of the box...

MAR 09 BPCs are the best I've had since the 02s. Very strong & earthy.

Good to hear bassman. I got two Mar 09 boxes resting...seems like i have plenty of Boli PC and CJ lately. That is a good thing!

The boxes seem complicated and sometimes I can't find out them.
