best place for a humidifier?

I just have a desktop humi with an oasis electronic humidifier mounted to the lid. Im wondering (since heavy humid air drops) if it makes much a difference whether its should be mounted to the lid or on the bottom. in other words while the air at the top will be a solid 70%, is the air at the bottom too humid. im guessing this is more of a problem for bigger humi's too.

Personally...with a desktop humidor, I would ditch the Oasis and get beads. Beads work better in desktops. That is my own experience talking of course. Active humidification is only really needed for larger humidors like cabinets.

I'll second that. Also, an Oasis takes up too much valuable space in a desk humi. Stick with beads and you'll never have to worry. I've got 2 100ct puckifiers stuck to the lid of my 100ct desk humi and I only check them once every 3 months.

I think the beads do work the best for desktop humidors. I also have two pucks in mine and two hygometers to measure the humidity in different areas. The humidity stays the same throughout and the pucks are very low maintenance. Good luck!
