phxkev Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Not that it matters much but does anyone know what cigar got 94 points in today's Cigar Insider? Was it a Cuban?
compitaveggie Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Today's Cigar Insider pretty much SUCKED!!! Jose

cigcars Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 The tobacco store owners and managers all pretty much agreed that whoever it was that spent advertising dollars in Shanken's mag were the ones who got all the rave cigar reviews. They pointed out the Cubita brand when it first came out and said it was really a good smoke (the 454 was excellent). But they wouldn't knuckle under and spend dollars in CA and were ignored by the mag for a very long time.

They mostly tend to always have NC's rathed higher than almost anything else. Of course, on the rare occasion....

Why clutter up this forum, the opinions of people who long ago lost credibility.
acidmase Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I think people really don’t know how ratings are done. Cigars Companies and Vineyard pay the person reviewing it, like Robert Parker or CA to do a review on their product.

Hey, I have an idea, why don't we rate bonds this way too?
