PADDYWHACK121272
Watched 'I am Cuba' last night (1964, director Mikhail Kalatozov). Well worth a look for anyone generally interested in Cuban culture (as most Habanophiles are I reckon). Some of the technical / visual work is amazing (long tracking shots etc..) and more than makes up for the fairly clunky propaganda aspects of the film. Very evocative impression of the atmosphere in the country at the time and amazing to see footage of Batista era Havana.
