Ken Gargett Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 something wet that you stick kids' heads in to start the indoctrination?
Colt45 Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 something wet that you stick kids' heads in to start the indoctrination? And on Good Friday no less. I hope there's no kindling near where you're sitting. (where would Ayala sleep?)
Colt45 Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Ken, let me ask you this: If you used your own money to buy, upon release, a top growth bordeaux or grand cru burgundy, would you drink it right away?
Ken Gargett Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Ken, let me ask you this: If you used your own money to buy, upon release, a top growth bordeaux or grand cru burgundy, would you drink it right away? on a ssrious note, i do understand where you ae going with this. and that is, to me, a slightly different question. unlkley though the wines these days are such that there is little problem with that - and i have a number of very serious, knowledgable mates who do just that. they prefer them young. what this is about now is a preference for the primary, fresh, vibrancy of youth or the mature, more complex developed flavours of maturity. but for me, for both you need balance. if i do believe nthat if the young ones don't have it, the older wines will be exposed.
