LowKey Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I recently read the following article: http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Pr...,2540,4,00.html When Castro was questioned about Trinidad being a Diplomatic gift, he simply denied any affiliation and completely contradicted it's famed history. Is Castro confused perhaps? I don’t think so. I can see a bit of a market share angle in his comments as Cohiba was an exclusive name to Cuba at the time of the interview. Just thought Id throw this one out there for an outside opinion. By the way, great forum!
thechenman Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Definitely marketing...no doubt about it in my mind.
Buch0 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Interesting read, I am more interested in what Castro had to say about the quality over quantity. I can only hope 15 years on they still feel the same..
cigarros Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Definitely marketing...no doubt about it in my mind. Agree completely! And welcome to FOH!
