Upon reflection over the weekend and digesting all your responses I sent a very firm letter with my intentions clear that if they arent willing to replace the unit I will take action. I am not a litigious person at all, in fact this is my first ever complaint about anything... If it didn't injure me, a repair would be fine... I just don't want a machine back that caused me any sort of injury. In a bit of a twist over the weekend I got a call saying my laptop had been completely repaired and was ready for collection. I didn't consent to any repairs and in fact explicitly said nothing was to be replaced or repaired. I went a grabbed it and signed nothing, all that went in the email also. Cheers to all.
