CIGARHead Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Im grilling some filet mignon having a coupla beers at the moment. Going to pop open a bottle of Tiziano Chianti Reserva with dinner. After that it's looking like a VR Unico or Partagas Serie du Conn No 1. I'll switch between the wine and some rum. What say everybody else?
gehrig24 Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Dip # 2 afterwork. I have to play hockey this evening so the drinking will not occur until after the game. Will probably have wine and cigar to relax and think about how sore I will be tomorrow.

God Bless. It's always important to remember those who fought and died for this great country we live in. This afternoon I tried the new Samual Adams black lager paired with a Punch Punch. No complaints at all.
GoatLocker Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Just finished an 01 Upmann Monarch with a liitle HC7 while assembling an outdoor fireplace on the back porch. Nice pairing.
josie67 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Bolivar Royal Corona and a glass of Grand Marnier.
Ben Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 R&J Churchill along with 4 or 5 pints of Guinness
Cal-Duck Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 » What say everybody else? I already have a glass of Aliento Del Sol, Pinot Noir and I have narrowed the cigar down to being a Corona Gorda before I have even opened up the humidor. I'm thinking Sig IV but who knows what chaos will ensue once I actually open the humidor. I'll report back. CD

El Presidente Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 » Monte 4 and a Tooheys New Micaheal, try a Monte 4 and a Guinness.......magnificent combination ;-)
Cal-Duck Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 After a long drawn out posting ordeal I finally settled on a Trini Coloniales. Buy the time I finally picked it up the Pinot Noir had long since rum out so now I am working on a bottle of Karly, Amador County, Zinfandel. Cheers, CD
Ginseng Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 HdM Petite Coronas and fresh coffee. I drink coffee with almost all of my smokes. When I drink an alcoholic beverage, it's port, rum or martinis.

mgillett Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Have to say Ginseng, love a strong brew with any cigar followed up with port.
Ginseng Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 » Have to say Ginseng, love a strong brew with any cigar followed up with » port. Right on. Some really enjoy a distilled liquor with their smoke, but it upsets my palate. And although coffee might be said to skew the perceived character of the cigar, it's the context in which I most often enjoy one. In a word, whatever works for you. Port though, that's just good stuff. I've got and '85 Graham's that's jsut about ready.
