I'm going to Montreal for a day later this week for a day. I was wondering if there are any good lounges/ spots to smoke or any legitimate store for cigars? Also, does Montreal have any good local wine, coffee or good consumables?

There is a lot of places to buy and enjoy cigars in MTL:

- La casa del habanos (1434 Sherbrooke Street West)

- Stogies cigar lounge (2015 Crescent Street), I was there last night with my boys and we had a great time.

- Rib'N Reef (8105 boulevard Decarie), I heard a lot of good things about that place. It's a steakhouse and cigar lounge, I will try it for my next boys night out.

Have a great time in MTL!!!!

I was fishing on the Saint Lawrence a few years ago and stopped at the LCDH (Montreal) which happened to be right next door to a Davidoff shop. I bought like 1 or 2 sticks. Canadian tabacco taxes are out of control and make cigars way too expensive for the average Canadian.

I can backup the LCDH and Stogies.

The LCDH has a nice lounge and their humidor is stocked. I remember seeing an aged box of VR that were pretty affordable. Also they have a nice 'hard to find' collection.

Stogies also has an in house humidor. Check out their website, they have a price list. The atmosphere is really laid back and the locatin is perfect.

I love Montreal...great city...that said...and this is not meant to be a poor reflection on Montreal...but I pretty much like any city where I can easily obtain legit Habanos.

Well we got back from Montreal an hour ago. It snowed the whole day which made getting to Montreal a real adventure. Woman and I got into Montreal in time for lunch and then headed over to La Casa to look around and then over to Stogies to smoke one. The prices those Montrealins pay are brutal. I had a RyJ EL 2007 for $45 CAD, BBFs were $35 CAD. Really makes me appreciate the taxes at home! Afterwards we went to old Montreal and walked around. It was difficult to take all of Montreal in given the crazy snow, we got to enjoy our selves and old Montreal is very beautiful. One down side was that the french speakers were extremely not interested in helping you if you didn't speak french.

Yep the prices are high...The good thing is we are living only 4 hours away from Cuba, so you can stack up at a low price. I went to Cuba for new year eve with all my familly and I came back with around 500 CC ;) ;) ;) ;)

Sweet...I guess sometimes it is good to have non-cigar smoking friends and family...
