asmith Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 It was a magical night last night, I still can't speak properly from all the cheering, but the might REDS last night thumped the Crusaders. Ayala will be so dirty he missed it.
Colt45 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Wow, that's fantastic! Who the hell is red?.......
Ken Gargett Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 never in doubt. back to the glory days. if that scumbag filthy yarpie ref hadn't shafted us last time, we'd be on top of the table. we're back, baby. the glorious reds!!!! shame about horwill's injury but revel in thrashing those pretender crusaders. carter who? smithy, as i am only very marginally older than you, i clearly remember the extraordianary days where they were the unquestioned greatest provincial side on the planet, year after year, and only the very best rugby nations could match them if they played out of their skins (before we have that questioned, july 1980, thumping a full strength all black side). last night brought back memories.
Habanos2000 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Wow, that's fantastic!Who the hell is red?....... C'mon Colt, they're from Cincinnati.
rckymtn22 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Wow, that's fantastic!Who the hell is red?....... A communist?
ARRV Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 The reds played well against the crusaders - was actually a good game to watch and without doubt were the better team against the waratahs the week before but were very unlucky with the ref and the fact that this year NSW has someone who can kick a penalty as opposed to previous years. It took another week but the waratahs decided to show their true colours and went missing over in SA. Burgess has to go - Genia flogged him the week before and NSW only looked presentable when he is off the field - his service from from rucks and mauls is so slow and all over the shop that the opposition has time to set their defence. [Query why McKenzie benched Genia in the last minutes of the NSW game - probably thought it was won] I think it will be a long season for NSW - they may go close at home but will get soundly beaten in SA and NZ. On present form Genia and Cooper should start for the wallabies - great combo blossoming there.
cabaiguan juan Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 If the Cincinnati Reds won then that is a big deal.

asmith Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 if the wallabies were picked today, cooper must be 5/8. What you think he will get 5-8 months in prison?
Ken Gargett Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 What you think he will get 5-8 months in prison? i'm told that 'if it all comes out, he is looking at years, not months'. idiot. still, the effect it has had on his rugby is amazing and quite a few judges/prosecutors are members of the reds. not that they would in any way be influenced of course.

Yes I know what you mean wink wink, I was chatting with one of them on Saturday here on the deck, wink wink, not about Cooper though, more about the state of the cobwebs at your place. By the way Gargett, the Des Dieux are still in the locker will get them out next time.

By the way Gargett, the Des Dieux are still in the locker will get them out next time. that particular prosecutor is not involved, i believe, but if he bags my 'webs, he'll have plenty nof time to do something about it when he is dumped from the fraser trip. so the girls ranted and raved about the amount of savvy they deserved for getting a couple of boxes out of the locker and stuffed it up? the savvy will be on strict rations now.
asmith Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 the savvy will be on strict rations now. What you're going to drink it instead?
Ken Gargett Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 What you're going to drink it instead? batteries to fill, gutters to clean... have we heard from the lost travellers of late? they've gone very quiet my end.

Difficulty was that he has basically been told he is too small for breakaway since he was about 9 - and basically used that as motivation to work harder etc - I guess with Smith tho the question was not really one of size but of putting 2 people into 1 position - why not 2 positions. Richard Harry used to oplay breakaway and then became a gym monkey and loose head. Our front row is OK but the halves are rubbish and rest isnt working - I heard some comment down here on the radio that the Waratahs have a $2million back line that can't score a try. The problem is Burgess - service not good enough - he had a couple of good games for the wallabies but should not even make the squad this year. Probably just need an attitude change - everyone at the Tahs justs needs to pull their finger out and try a bit harder - especialyl in the pack - get good ball and then have Holmes at half getting quick service to the backline with everyone going forward and hopefully th eopposition defensive line split / not set Easier said then done - and we play the bulls this week who are playing very well.

KurtE Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Pfft, smithy, AFL is the superior sport here. Bloody union attracting shitty crowds. AFL gets the big ones
Ken Gargett Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Pfft, smithy, AFL is the superior sport here. Bloody union attracting shitty crowds. AFL gets the big ones didn't some insignificant rugby league trial in west sydney get way more people than the bells and whistles, all guns blazing pre season afl comp on saturday night? don't misunderstand, i thoroughly enjoy afl, but if you go only on crowds then one could start to comapre soccer to rugby and we all know how absurd that would be. afl is an excellent game to watch if there is no rugby, or even rugby league, on. or you toenails don't need clipping - no, i do enjoy watching the afl.
