MIKA27 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Sorry to hear about your loss bud. It's always hard when a pet passes on as they are apart of ones family. It is especially hard when you have to put your beloved pet down as I also once did with my dog, an Australian Blue healer who we had the privilage to have as part of our family for 14 years. That was 10 years ago and I still think about him a great deal, especially when going off camping or fishing. I hope in time dealing with the loss becomes easier and perhaps you bring a new member to your family and continue the joy our pets often give us throughout the good and bad times in our lives. All the best Tom. Michael.
smll2 Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 Folks, When I awoke this morning I looked like I had been trampled by herd of something...or some country's army. I was swollen from crying so much yesterday evening. Of course it had nothing to do with once to many glass of wine. My eyes hurt all day. At about 3pm this afternoon I pulled up this thread and began reading all of your condolences/stories/great insights and warm wishes. I started man crying again in my office. I closed the thread and knew I couldn't look again until I got home. I'm home...reread all you warm wishes and great stories and of course am crying like the sissy I am. I can't thank you all enough for taking the time to acknowledge Oreo's 15 years as a memeber of our family and to help me. I'm humbled by your wisdom/prayers and best wishes. God has blessed so many us with pets that give us unconditional love and enjoyment each and every day. When the go...sheesh... Oreo lived a great life. Oreo was one MTF great kitty. A new rescue will be in the Q shortly. Best wishes and prayers for the long and happy/healthy lives of your pets still with us. Thank you all again for your support. Tom
