Ozz1113 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I know these were sold w/o bands...and now they have the second Magnum 46 band. But, what happened in between? According to the Cuban Cigar Website, the Mag 46 used all three Upmann bands. Did tubos receive different bands or something? Thanks gang
Colt45 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I'm assuming you're questioning the brown band? If so, these were the first bands used for the Mag 46 - I have an '05 box with these bands.

Colt45 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Thanks. So these were used until 08? I'm not sure when they started using the red bands on these, but I think it was pre '08. The "second" band used starting in '08 is an additonal band to the H. Upmann band. So now there are two bands on the cigar. The "second" band simply says magnum 46, or on the magnum 50, says magnum 50.
armedak Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 The red bands are pre-08. I believe they began use in late 06 but I know for sure they were being used in 07. So, most likely you have a Mag 46 with a 05-06 date code.
Ozz1113 Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 Thanks. Burned it today. It was a bum. No amount of age could have helped this. Shame, I had high hopes.
mbrody Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Grab some 08's and you will turn that frown upside down!
