Bartolomeo Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 -Very dark Maduro wrapper, nice oily sheen, minor cracked foot, feels good in hand -Leather and Black pepper greet me to say hello on the initial puff -Rich cream comes in the first 3 mins smoking this cigar, wasting no time out of the gate -This is the last of a fiver I bought back in September, love this smoke! -Chocolate and spice ring out in the 1/3 along with some coffee and light caramel -I always think of a semi-spicy candy bar when I think of this cigar -Impossible to find and if you do find them, I have see them command $700+ -This Robusto Extra size is another reason I favor them -2/3 is more coffee/wood/spice and cream is toned down a touch, all very rich flavors -Aftertaste is nice but not long -Ash looks really close to White against the dark wrapper, even burn, slow burn rate, everything working together nicely -This could be an every day cigar for me between the size-flavor and enjoyment, and I have yet to try a regular production of the Epi Especial -Medium-Full in profile pretty much the whole time -83 mins smoke time -Final 1/3 is woody, dark chocolate and cream with some rustic leather -9.2/10 Bart
