-Dark Maduro wrapper, excellent construction

-Traditional Bolivar leather/pepper opening

-1/3 is leather, pepper and not much else so far

-I have never been a real Boli fan and maybe these need to sit for a while, feels like I am going through the motions early on

-2/3 is fresh leather, like a size 13 @ Nordstroms…..pepper is still there, some spiced wood as well

-Draw is perfect, burn rate is slow and the light Gray ash looks cool against the backdrop of the dark wrapper

-End of 2/3 actually turns around a little, more like the flavors got their act together, flowing better in unison, wood/spice/cocoa

-Final 1/3 finishes better than the first 1/3, just think these need to rest for awhile

-Enjoyed it but wont seek out at box as other PC such as SLR, ERDM and Cohiba excite me a little more

-8.5/10

I'm smoking one now from June 08. Came to the Review Section to get others experiences with it. I am a Boli fan and love the PC. Coffee, leather, pepper through the nose. "Spiced wood" for sure. And lots and lots of smoke. Finishing it now, about 50 minutes. So pleasureable and on the enexpensive side as well.

I'm a big Boli fan & usually the PCs taste a lot better with a few years on them. I'm greatly enjoying a cab from 06 & they tasted pretty mediocre until a couple months ago when they really came around. I have 08s too, but will let them sleep until the 06s are gone. Also, for some strange reason I find that lighter wrapper Bolivars taste better.

I haven't smoked any 08's, but I'm trying to keep my hands off the 07's. The 98's and 05's are smoking extremely well!

Oh yeah, my 08 BPCs have the darkest wrappers I've ever seen on a BPC. Usually fairly light. Going to let these 08s age. When the 06s are gone, I have a DB for MAR 09 that's so good now I can't see how they can get better.

And FWIW, BPC, SLR PC & RyJ Cazadores were the first boxes of CCs I ever bought.

I had an 09 of these from a tubos the other day, much too young for my liking. I got little besides bark and pepper throughout the whole cigar. As mentioned above, these must be put aside for 2-3 years minimum.
