rahko Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Good construction, perfect draw, opens with clean tobacco, develops to woody (reminds me of freshly cut pine) and fruity tastes in the first third, with very slight sweetness. Some floral qualities in the background, light medium body. Body increases to medium in the beginning of second third, a touch of sweet spice, otherwise same as the first only more of it. Further into the second third woodiness decreases, sweetness increases a little, also the sweet spices become a dash instead of touch. The mix of tastes is very smooth at the halfway point, complex yet nothing stands out, whereas first third was distinctly dry and woody. In the last third woodiness becomes more herbal and floral. The spice is phased out, light sweetness remains, reminiscent of unrefined honey. Also pictured a surplus cigar ashtray of the National People's Army of the former German Democratic Republic. The folding cigar holder is a marvel of communist innovation, color is timeless and oppressive greenish-gray.
thechenman Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Nice review...I'm a big fan of the ERDM Choix Supreme. Love the ashtray...
stargazer14 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I've got to get me some of those. (the cigar I mean.)
Kangaroo495 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 We were discussing the virtues of communism in another thread today! http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/inde...st&p=161406 Love the ERDM line. Even better are the Grandes de Espagna and Tainos!
