Aussie Olympic Team Causing Trouble

Check out this article about the Aussie Olympic team in Vancouver. I hope they don't take down the flag. IOC has too many rules and seem to have more power than the gov't. I hope the media continues to cover this, I'd like to see the outcome.

I agree! They should replace it with/or add a giant Australian flag!

has got a fair bit of press over here, not surprisingly. deputy prime minister jumped in and said not to take it down. understand, the last i heard at least, was that the athletes had said it is staying.

if i was head of the aussie contingent, i'd issue every last one of them with a small version and have them wave it about during the march and any other opportunity.

It has also gotten alot of air play on the local news here. I think most everyone except the IOC wants it to fly high, it looks great and takes our minds off the traffic congestion that is now developing in the downtown core of the city.

Looking forward to the games and as the members of the Aussie team have said "It's all about having some fun and enjoying some great sports"
