groza Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 A friend wo doesn't know the first thing about it bought some cigars in Cuban now we're wondering if they are fakes. He bought them in his hotel and not from a street vendor at prices that weren't dramatacially cheap compared to German prices. One of the cigars in question is a RyJ Short Churchill from an aluminium tubo. What raised my suspicion were the facts that there appeared to be some kind of dust inside the tubo (remains still visible on cigar) and the embossment on the band of this Short Churchill and a Belveders seemed to be less noticeable than on the band of a Belvederes bought here in Germany. The cigars were stored in a small plastic shopping bag on a shelf in his dry and warm room ( ), that might have influenced the appearance of the wrapper. CIGARHead Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 There is nothing out of the ordinary to my eyes. I don't put too much credence in band quality.
