-Split a box of these from Gibraltar with a good friend of mine

-This was one was the ugly duck of the bunch with broken foot and a couple of White spots

-Initial puff was lemon-pepper

-Typical Cohiba cream and grass made an appearance in 1/3 with an outlying taste of the pepper hanging around and some Melba toast

-CoRo is my favorite Robusto and possibly my favorite cigars

-Pre draw was tobacco and citrus

-CoRo always reminds me of a proud cigar, knows it’s a Man among boys in the Robusto field

-2/3 consists of shortbread cookies, light coffee, orange peel and maybe some honey

-Creamy texture coats my tongue and aged tobacco is abundant, very clean aftertaste but sweet

-Medium in profile and medium amounts of smoke at rest

-This is my first cigar from the split after resting 60+ days and I am really enjoying it, can only imagine what the original release was like back in 1989

-Everything I notice in flavor is pleasant

-I want to smoke a 08 just to see what differences I can detect like my Siglo VI tasting last week

-Final 1/3 is Vanilla bean, pepper and continued citrus, cigar is Medium-Full at this point

-A very pleasant experience and age is definitely this cigars friend, definitely worth the extra money spent on an aged box

-9.1/10

Thanks for the review mate. I expected you to rate the aged CoRo abit higher than 9.1.. Did the construction let it down?

I dont really take off points for construction, or price but rate mostly on my experience with the cigar

It was a very solid smoke and CoRo are some of my favorite but I think a 9.1 was an accurate score for my experience

Hope that makes sense

Thanks for reading the review

Nice review Bart...I am with you on the CoRo being my favorite Habana Robusto. Simply an amazing cigar. Have not had any aged examples, but I do have an 08 box tucked away.
