Bartolomeo Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 -First Presidentes I have ever smoked -Initial puffs are leather, spicy and grassy, sort of surprising for a Partagas to have the grass show up -Mild in strength from the start, ash hung on for a while in the shape of the tip of the cigar, kind of cool, slight box press -Small amounts of smoke, no draw problems like others have experienced and construction was pretty good -Leather/cedar/tannins with a nice, sticky sweetness apparent in the 1/3 -Flavors a little muted in 2/3 with only toasted tobacco, pepper and leather showing up, but light -Leather along with some Florals are in the last 1/3, solid Medium in profile, better than 2/3 for sure -Short finish on throat with not a lot of aftertaste -End of cigar was anti-climatic -I would say the 1/3 was my favorite part and the cigar kind of went down hill from there, decent cigar but nothing great -8.5/10 Bart
