Bartolomeo Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 -Woody/Nutty opening with slight bit of sweetness -Earthy tannins appear in 2/3 with a long aftertaste -Good construction with slight box press -Medium-Full bodied -39 mins smoke time -Not really much complexity to this smoke, easy to smoke while your killing time -Enjoyed this short smoke a lot and for about $100 a box, not a bad price for a solid, short smoke -8.9/10 Bart
PigFish Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 These are a perennial favorite of mine. They do ebb and flow with the year though... as I have gotten dead boxes before. In general one of my favorite RA's.
bolivr Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Grabbed a single from a B&M last week. Very impressed, similar experience to Bart, thanks for the review. Mine had a good measure of complexity of flavour along the same lines and I would add, nice volume of smoke. I didn't get bored with it but I have plenty of similar sized smokes at the moment so I will buy a box in the near future.
Cubanface Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 These cigars were my first Cuban cigar box purchase. Will always have in the humidor for when time beckons them.
