  1. Punch Super Selection No.2 - SUA MAR 02 - a farewell tribute to the Corona Gordas Visting the LCdH around North-western Europe with one of my friends yielded us an old cabinet of Punch Super Selection No.2. According to what I was able to find of the stamp code, it looks like this was made somewhere in the province of Santa Clara, maybe near the spot where Ché Guevara held his daring raids. Discontinued in 2002 this is probably one of the last produced cabinets. The Ashes Size: Smoking time: from 11:45 to - hours of smoking pleasure Location: Kortenhoef, The Netherlands A cru AppearanceThe cigar is colorado in color, exactly medium brown with a nice silky feel to it. The wrapper is a bit veiny and the cigar is not really smooth anymore, but that is to be expected. The prelit smell is sweet hay. Predraw reveals a good construction, easy draw. After lighting and cutting @ 11:45 Combustion and constructionConstruction is ok and not underfilled. Very easy burn and a very easy draw. Ash is firm, sometimes the cigar goes out after being unattended for a minute. The cigar has a medium strength, about 2.5 out of 5. 1st third start 11:45 - A complex medium spicy cigar with some sweetness. It is enjoyable and different in taste from many others. Pepper and Cedar are the baseline with some Cardamom, Paprika and Caramel as noticeable accents. White Pepper -3/5 Cedar - 2/5 Cardamom - 2/5 Paprika - 1/5 Caramel - 1/5 An unusual and enjoyable mix, albeit a little bit unbalanced towards the peppery end. 2nd third start 12:15 - A complex medium spicy cigar with some sweetness. Less Pepper and Cedar with some Cardamom, Flowers and Caramel as noticeable accents. White Pepper -2/5 Cedar - 2/5 Cardamom - 2/5 Flowers - 1/5 Caramel - 1/5 An unusual, complex and enjoyable mix. The best part of the cigar 3rd third start @ 12:45 - Balance is even better complex medium spicy cigar with some sweetness increase in strenght but no bitterness. White Pepper -2/5 Cedar - 3/5 Cardamom - 2/5 Flowers - 2/5 Caramel - 1/5 A complex and enjoyable mix. . Fin @ 13:15 The finish is similar to the last third. Verdict A medium strength cigar with an unsual mix of flavors. The flavors are subdued and not full. Verdict 7.5/10
