  1. Have fun! When I was there last Summer, many shops had very limited inventory. Surprisingly, even though it was a very small Estanco with only one cabinet style humidor, check out Estanco Juderia when you're in Cordoba as it's very close the main attraction of the Mezquita. They had the most variety available of most of all the shops I visited on my trip. If you're looking for singles, this place was perfect. I was even able to get a full box of the new Spanish RE. Also, I'd recommend you walk into any Estancos you walk past as I was able to get the Spanish REs in 3 different random hole in the walls, probably because they weren't well known to cigar enthusiasts.
  2. Congrats to you both and what an awesome celebration with friends!
  3. Love it Andy, a great box to have for the occasion!
  4. Hey all, it's been widely discussed as the original public release of the Cohiba Siglo VI was 2003, but they were launched in 2002. Besides the many bloggers, I haven't seen much written proof to say if 2002 released any cigars publicly other than at a launch party. Were the launch party cigars, standard Siglo VI in a box, and were coded 2002? Or were they singles handed out and the only boxed ones in 2002 were the humidor? Just curious as the discussion has come up... any wisdom/proof would be appreciated! If I can link CA, here's a write up from James Suckling back then: https://www.cigaraficionado.com/article/for-the-love-of-cohiba-8221
  5. As mentioned above, this LCDH (and also other location from same owner) was discussed elsewhere recently where someone bought fake Cohiba from, and sent back. I've also seen plenty of pictures of numerous other region RE's at the Cancun location, that were sketchy at best. I personally will stay far away from this business.
  6. What a fantastic video, thank you for doing this and sharing! I'm so f'ing happy for Hamlet and for the success and joy he is getting and has, he deserves the best. For people that haven't had the pleasure of meeting him, do what you can to get to any events he's doing, as he's one of the genuine good guys in the industry. Looking forward to trying what you guys are cooking up!
  7. Would love to see number of cigars sold vs revenue... pretty hard to compare year to year when the prices shot through the roof.
  8. Not so sure Cohiba and Trinidad has missed the mark... 2 days in a row I saw here of Cohiba selling at the new prices, sold out. Same with Trinidad Esmeraldas today. And this forum is made up of mainly regular Joe buyers...
  9. So sad... so sorry to all his family and many friends that he made along the way. He was a true ambassador to what we all love about the cigar community.
  10. Yep... either way you look at it, many of our thoughts on this, if turned into replies here, will earn a ban... lol
  11. I was totally in until I saw it holds cigars at 75% humidity...
  12. Okay thanks. I knew the main outer box has the proper seals, etc, but I wasn't positive about the smaller 3/5 pack boxes. Reason I ask is that I saw someone with a current band CoRo petaca, with a pre 2010 warranty seal on it with rounded corners by the hologram. I found it odd but couldn't say for certain if a 5 cigar petaca should have a beveled corner seal, rather than a rounded corner one like I saw.
  13. I rarely buy the cardboard petacas, so I'm looking for some help on the warranty seals... Should the 3-cigar petacas have current/regular warranty seals with the beveled corners by the hologram, vs being rounded at the corners? Should the warranty seals have the micro-print serial numbers on them? And lastly, do all petacas have the barcode with serial numbers on them, either on the seal or printed on the cardboard packaging itself? Cheers
  14. I can still picture Ravi's list when those were for sale... so, many, cabs, of 03s.
  15. Very impressed with your new graphic design work! You definitely win the effort award for putting together a quality design vs using the best picture you could find. Just to be clear, if there are 60 shirts purchased, will every order get a hat, or only ones who order multiple shirts? Just wondering if someone orders one shirt, if they'll get a hat too? Cheers!
  16. I imagine he means the new ones...
  17. I've driven past a bunch of times the hospital where the 1st case in the US is at... crazy how a robot is tending to the person. Hoping it hasn't spread. I also saw a video of a girl wearing a mask dumping out all her Coronas.
  18. Had the Lucy at Matt's and it was definitely a good burger. I miss Kua'aina on Oahun as I ate there many times while living there. But I'm very content with my local cigar lounge's burger as many out of State/town visitors even rave on how good it is...
  19. Masters is definitely up there. Super Bowl is up there too but I've never seen my team in it, so pfft! Not even a big soccer fan, but the World Cup is pretty great.
  20. Those going under the Support for the Cuban People better be prepared to have their itineraries and "proof" completed... you can be "audited" up to 5 years after trip. I can see the administration taking more notice after the people to people tours are done.
  21. I've really enjoyed the PCC blends of Ramon Allones and Por Larranaga... my preference would be a Corona Gorda in either of those, or even a Bolivar or LFDC. Or better yet, just ask for the Bolivar CE blend and slap a RE band on it. Edit: Ha, just read the comment above mine, lol.
  22. Isn't he the person that let it be known about his cigars being confiscated, then his sheeples started up a fund to give him money for his losses? lol... he flies to Cuba to flip cigars, then people just give him money when his cigars (that he was gonna flip anyway) get confiscated?
