  1. After seeing the new MOPAR thread I took it upon myself to explore the probability that other car enthusiasts are out there (Shooter has already declared himself). I will try to post some photos of the 2007 Shelby mustang due out. This is my greatest material passion and I have had it about 10 years. Its a 1969 GT500 Shelby convertible. Only 335 were built for the combined 69/70 production. Only one other sister car exists (same major options/colors) making SUNKIST one of two. Though most owners of similar cars push them on and off their enclosed trailers, I drive mine whenever time and weather permit (1000-1500 miles/yr). Its like owning a boat out here in the midwest, you have 3 maybe 4 warm months. I have kept the car as close to original as it was in 1969, original AM/FM radio, interior, all decals, Goodyear Polyglass tires and an Autolite battery. And its great on gas........NOT. So Rob when you come into Chicago someday I'll give you a lift from the airport to your hotel traveling via 1969, cigar smoking is permitted........Lisa can sit up front.

More info on the eye candy. Any more sleazy Ken pics??? My God they don't make them like that in Chicago! Whats the skinny on the uniforms (black with Cohiba ribbons)?
  3. Is this little device unique to Cuba or is it in play in other countries? Is there any purpose to a triple cap over a single wrap, or is it just asthetic? I have recently been using the triple cap with my two front pearly whites to begin the smoking ritual. I don't need no stinkin cutter! OLD SCHOOL:confused:
  4. I'm startng to get get psyched about my yearly trip to northern Canada in 4 weeks. Going to a camp that is begining its second season ever, so I will be getting a chance to fish some virgin water. Lets see what kind of portfolio we can put together. I will be reserving my posts in 4 weeks (God willing). Maybe a little history on locale and tackle. Only photos with a stogie hanging out of your mouth will be considered for the grand prize.........maybe inclusion on the Czar Web page eh Rob?????
  5. First cigar- unfortunately no memorable cubans. I do believe my first cigar was more on the line of a swisher sweet, cranberry flavored plastic tip and all. On the same note the first time I got drunk and puked was on Cold Duck. No class.... First girlfriend/First car-thats her sitting ontop of my first car. A 1972 Mustang with a 351 Cleveland. Now thats class.....the car of course. img/uploaded/image983.jpg[/img]
  6. As a little update, I had notified Habanos SA sometime ago and let them in on what happened. I don't know if that directly had any effect, but after I made the initial post here I checked back at the retailers web site and they no longer ofer a second price for buyers in the US.
  7. XL. I hope they are not made in a country that makes it illegal to own in the US!
  8. Last year I was an outdoor only smoker, not by preference but due to the woman that lives in my house with me (Mrs Cobra). Over the winter my attraction to the relaxation I get from Cubans has grown as well as the nod from the before mentioned women to smoke indoors when everybody has gone to bed (I have an air purifier in the rec room). Now that summer has arrived I find the nuances found in a good cigar diluted by smoking outside. Am I alone?
  9. Check out this little scam deal. About 6 months ago I contacted a vendor in the UK (first mistake) to try out the so called EMS labeled Habanos. This was a "Gold Medal" mortar and brick retailer very well established with a history going back to the 1800's. I purchased a box of HDM DC's assuming the lower prices offered to US consumers had something to do with the outrageous taxes over there (my second mistake). I received a box of cigars noting the place of origin wasn't from dear ole England but from some guy named Doug from NEBRASKA USA. They even had the iron clad "Cuban hologram" (my spider senses really started tingling). I ended up contacting them and got an amusing song and dance excuse (including this was just a trial endeavor), and of course an apology along with a refund. I did smoke one and the scary thing is the cigar wasn't all that bad. He even offered to send me some free sticks for my trouble. They must have gotten lost in the mail cause that was 6 months ago. Live and learn........
  10. That's totally venereal as far as I'm circumcised!
  11. And they sure are presented nice. They come in a double packaged "box set", the varnished wooded box is set in a cardboard outer container with all the seals on the outside (like a gift). I'm glad to see they are already smokable, I put these as deep in my cabinet as they will go to give them at least a couple more months......I'll see how long that lasts.
  12. Mmmmm, sounds like many similar phrases I used to describe the last "fantastic" domestic cigar my brother-in law gave to try.
  13. » Hey to all. I hope to get a bunch of good information from you guys Welcome....your in for much more than good information
  14. Welcome, your lucky as you are in th right part of the world to take part in the Czar get togethers.
  15. Take your shoes off and stay awhile
  16. In the words of Homer "DOH". I was justifying my cigar (and other) indulgences over the 6 months based on how well I was doing. Over a 6 day period last week 10% of my 401 left the building!! Just when I think I know what I'm doing...........
  17. You came to the right place. Put all your Cuban anxieties to rest, you are in great hands.
  18. I'm glad to see I am within the norm (at least regarding cigars). I find myself in a constant flux on whats my go to cigar. But seeing as I have never had a plugged VR, thats it for me!
  19. » I can empathise with checking the cigars mate...we were broken into two » months ago...wifey's jewels gone, digital projector knocked off however » after comforting wifey moved straight to esky to check on Cuba's » finest...still there thank God! » The culprits were no doubt Dominicans!
  20. Let the good times begin! Welcome!
  21. That is a beautiful box. You have strong will to limit yourself to 2-3 a week. With that selection you must be real popular at family get-togethers.
  22. I have that "coated" feeling on my palate sometimes after just a 2 cigar day, but other times can smoke 4 a day with no issues. I think its my wifes cooking.
  23. I have a hard time handing out my Cubans to non-smokers. Not only do I think its a waste but I end up watching to see if it ends up "going out with dignity" 3/4's of the way down. On the other hand I completely enjoy sharing my humidor with other cigar smokers. I anticipate the favor given to Habanos from non ISOM smokers and want to share opinions from other Habanos smokers possibly exposing them to a new marque.
  24. » H. Upmann Magnum 46 » The first time I tried a Mag46 I spent my inbetween puffin time just rolling it between my fingers and looking at it. This cigar was different than any other smoked. One descriptive term that just nailed it for me was "spiced wood". Like others before for awhile it was the cigar that I couldn't wait to get home to smoke. I have found some interbox variabilty but I'm keeping my eyes open for a box with 2-4 years behind it just to see if the spice would be more pronounced. Love them!
