  1. Eat it. That's like sending my wife to buy a nice bottle of wine. No offense to my lovely bride. She doesn't drink.
  2. What a great question. I answered the poll immediately and then thought about it for a whole day. I really only enjoy a Lancero as an afternoon smoke, but why wouldn't I like them at night, where I'll go for a Churchill? I don't know why, but, while I can enjoy a Lonsdale afternoon or evening, a Churchill is usually an evening thing for me. If I start my day with any of the three I feel guilty, like I shouldn't be milling around smoking- weekend, weekdays or even on vacation. For some reason a Cazadore is OK in the AM. Thanks for asking the question!
  3. Love to see pictures!
  4. I just had some local monkfish, and we have some oysters, which aren't as good as the ones by you, but still not bad. Blackfish (tog) as well as black sea bass is around. When the raspberries and figs are out I'll post pics. Last year was a bumper crop for both, and I kept trying to recreate the Fig Newton, which I failed to do.
  5. What about seafood, like oysters and flatfish?
  6. Today's porn stars would probably smoke the Stilt. Their conditioning is superior, and it has really become a players game. It used to be all for the love of the game. Different eras.
  7. Congratulations to everyone who took a stab at this contest! This was really fun to follow. I have had all of the cigars chosen, but was afraid that there would be one of the hundreds of RyJ Churchill or Monte Open or Edmundo sizes, which I have not yet tried. Maybe I'll humiliate myself next year and participate.
  8. I like them quite a lot. They are a must have for the vitola, and would be in the top four for the marca. They are more obtainable than the Upmann 2 or Dip 2, and probably more consistent than the Monte 2. While on a good day the others can outperform the P2, it's better than just reliable if rarely otherworldly.
  9. If I didn't just smoke two plugged 5's during vacation this week I would probably go with the 5's, but it was just enough to give the MC the edge for consistency. Until then they were neck and neck for me.
  10. Man, I love these. Real beauties, with the classic Upmann profile. I have a couple of boxes but would take more if I could get my hands on some. This is the one I buy when I travel and grab a single.
  11. Some kind of double figurado, like a Presidente, and Corona Gorda to sort of fill in with a more currently popular size than the tragically axed 3. Everything else would likely sit there.
  12. This is an excellent question. I have tried to identify the elusive quality of twang in a CC for quite awhile. It has been an engrossing, sometime frustrating, all consuming search for me. After many years I have come to the conclusion - It's a prune dipped in horse manure.
  13. A Fonseca 1 from 1998. Had no idea what to expect, and it surprised me. Creamy, toasted tobacco.
  14. My favorite with Pappardelle!
