  1. My very first CC purchase was a 50 cab of Partagas shorts for $240 in December 2021 and I instantly got the bug. I managed to land a couple more purchases before prices went unhinged and now I envy those with deep stacks who were purchasing for decades prior to 2022
  2. Nudie PC ROTT is absolutely sublime
  3. ‘22 Nudie N1 Rosado Lancero
  4. Unfortunately, if your hourly wage is a consideration in your purchasing (like it very much is for me), then you are not their target demographic. I hope the NC market can capitalize on the “value” conscious consumer that was completely abandoned by HSA but who also doesn’t want to be blasted with high octane Nicaraguan pepper/spice bombs or pay Padron/AF/Davidoff prices. In the mean time, I will be going deep on Nudies.
  5. I think the second-hand market (ie bond roberts) will be interesting to watch in the coming years as collectors look to cash out at the top of the market. Just as the Mannheim second hand car auctions serve as an early indicator of where new car prices are headed, I imagine we may see some closed auction prices drop below (the ever increasing) current MSRP in the next couple years that may indicate the ceiling for price/demand has been met.
  6. Definitely caught a lucky break on the river! Was my first win for me so I’ll take it. I look forward to this game every week!
  7. Another vote for Bose 700. No issues in the last three years with mine. Battery lasts for 16 hours on max ANC even after 3 years of daily WFH use. Microphone is great. Only slightly irrational is that when connected to phone and computer, it can act up if both play sounds at the same time and I usually have to disable bluetooth one device to correct. Not a dealbreaker for me but something to be aware of as I’m sure all Bluetooth headsets have their own quirks.
  8. What a fantastic conversation. Hamlet is a brilliant communicator and articulated so well his knowledge of blending and constructing cigars through the stories he shared. What a remarkable journey he has had in life and it’s no wonder he has found success in his endeavors. It’s immediately apparent he puts his heart and soul into not just blending and constructing a good cigar but truely caring for and educating those around him in the process. His enthusiasm for the 2023 canonazo and lancero blends is contagious (“‘making love right now” while smoking a canonazo 😂) and I am very much looking forward to trying both and, with any luck, a meetup In Miami. Congrats to Hamlet and team on what will surely be a triumph!
  9. Could you discuss the differences in approach/technique between rolling a lancero vs. a canonazo? Could you discuss ways to visually or physically identify whether a cigar is rolled well vs. a cigar that is plugged? Could you discuss the approach to blending the nudies? What makes the nudies blend more mellow and with more subtle and complex flavors compared to other NC? Any fun stories to share of Rob and the FOH crew?
  10. Have you had a chance to sample the No. 52’s and are they expected to distribute through PCC/FOH?
  11. Looking forward to this!
  12. Ditto - I would love to buy one if they were offered for sale
