  1. FYI. The ATF has the same system for rule making but I have repeatedly seen them just run things through much quicker and with little actual recognition of public comment. I’m in the business so I typically see this rule making go sideways occasionally, however my own opinion is this will be either altered to a vague ghost of what’s proposed or just quietly get shelved for four years.
  2. WRX of that era is not hard to build to 400 and doesn’t require a new block at 400. My son’s is right at 400 and no change to the block / pistons / rods. FMIC, turbo, down pipe, some other stuff I can’t recall and at 400 although I think it ultimately was at 400 with e85 on a flex fuel tune. Not positive if it made that with 93. I can get more details if you want details.
  3. The drain needs to be blocked with food grade silicone. Moisture is leaving the cabinet through this mechanism, while the bovedas need to be the regulating method. The bovedas cannot put moisture into the air quickly enough to replace the moisture lost due to this drain.
  4. He was smart enough on the first Iron Man to include pay increasing, basically, after every successful movie. It was the main reason Disney wrote him out as it was thought to be impossible to make a profit with successive movies.
  5. How is it actually used? The bigger one that is.
  6. The off gassing of plastic smell is a tough one but the exposure to UV and heat make the off gassing go quicker. Sunshine on a hot day helps. Just leave it open. As to the trays, try sunshine / heat as well. They will need to be humidified again but the volatiles that make up the plastic smell need to be broken down / off gassed from whatever material they are in. As to the cigars I would guess that a long period in some good cedar trays, checking them on occasion, is probably the only reasonable way to try and get rid of the smell. Activated carbon in the wineador with nothing else will capture the VOCs as well. Obviously don’t use it with cigars in place.
  7. Liquor, sugared drinks and processed food kill and cause medical issues much more than tobacco. Yet we let people balloon to 500lbs and drink in public.
  8. This. I would rather have a few more cigars to enjoy overtime than one box that every time I pull one out I would be thinking, “one less than I will ever have” sort of thought. One decent box and some 10s or something you like now and put that away for a few years to have an aged box for another occasion.
  9. I can’t wait for the purse swinging to begin like in the last post about Kirby. Waiting to watch till when I can sit and smoke along.
  10. Could the cello mean wholesale? Was this a ‘not for public’ list? That may explain it. Otherwise the prices don’t make sense.
  11. Inexpensive with a cigar, Papas Pilar. Zacapa 23 if wanting something a little more expensive. I don’t go beyond that point at the enjoyment does not go up with the price from there due to my dull palate.
  12. The bar makes the money in many in the US IMO. The cigars are just part of the style of the club. Our cigars here are cheaper, too. Most sell a stick for 13 that I can get for 5. Makes sense but your not making money with just the cigars.
  13. There are plenty of smaller window fan units out there. They certainly will not move as much air and will be noisier as they have the fans direct exposed.
  14. Most of the phrases used mean nothing. So no matter what happens there is no actual goal and they can pick who to blame. ‘’imagine a hurricane blows through and a governor says we need to strengthen unity as a weapon instead of saying we need to rebuild…. Meanwhile I doubt any of them miss meals or are affected by anything negative.
  15. The way I look at who Kirby is in reality is based upon those who repeatedly enjoy his company. The Sarhakians seem like class acts, the Foulkes have a tremendous amount of cigar knowledge, Jenna Freeman spending time to be interviewed by a man who cannot market her goods in his home country, etc. The clothes and everything else does nothing for me but through his cannoli have seen some spectacular interviews and conversations with those heavily into Cuban cigars. He is an American who is fascinated by many things British and a certain “dandy” style. Again, not my thing but I believe he is ineluctable, trying to learn and is enthusiastic, sometimes maybe too much in interviews. He has gotten more polished but I believe, like most Americans, he is used to a faster pace where people interrupt each other as a norm in conversation versus say, Eddie Sarhakian, who has a more relaxed, paced conversation style. Either way, I agree him giving exposure is not a bad thing. Especially considering the cigars are part of a “civilized” style and not something that is considered “dirty” like many here in the US consider it as linked to cigarettes and convenience store cigars.
  16. I am running two 560 cfm 8” fans on independent, variable fan controllers. 8” flexible ducts to registers in the ceilings with the fans rubber mounted to the exterior walls and not the ceiling trusses. Room is under 2000 cu ft so I am way overkill on air exchange and have not turned them all the way up as the split unit would not keep up with the loss of warm air. Mine are extremely quiet with virtually zero noise from air movement and only an almost inaudible ‘hum’ from the whole assembly Definitely get a big of a fan as you can afford or run two. Running them slower and in a duct that has some length and a 90 degree turn will eliminate a ton of noise too. I did not use rigid pipe as I was afraid I would get a harmonic at some speed from the air or the assembly vibrating. I did not want to hear a 60hz hum from the fan, either. FYI large ducting can get expensive and an outside vent cap over 8 inches gets HUGE so you may want to look into two smaller fans. EDIT I see you are using a roof vent instead of a wall vent. Just be VERY careful if your shingles are over 10 years old and do not cut and install in colder weather. I agree that running them overnight afterwards helps a lot. One thing I think you will find is that with a garage door open the room will have currents that the fan will not be able to overcome and smoke will swirl around. It’s amazing in my room how moving a small electric heater around or even sunlight on the skylights will affect the currents in the room. pics from during construction
  17. Thanks for the suggestions. Appreciate it.
  18. I am surprised the cello is not a lot darker than what it is. I have NCs that are a few years old (5-7 iirc) and they have darker cello than those.
  19. Looking at the Rabbit Air unit and was looking for advice from others that use any sort of air filtration unit when smoking indoors. Possibly something less expensive if possible. Looking for odor reduction. Thanks in advance.
  20. He said he wanted a replacement and would take the refund only if the box was also destroyed. The box if resold as real would be over 20k so the shop is making money again on a known fake. His principles are on point and luckily he has the cash to continue to pursue the case. He knows they are going to dupe someone else and he won’t allow it.
  21. Thanks for all the replies. Going to look for some R&J Mille Fleurs as I do not have any of these. All will be smoked young though. Looking for something to bring along on a trip next year.
  22. I have a box of shorts and aristocrats but as mentioned in the OP was looking for a larger cigar. Mostly sticking to NCs but I was hoping there was something I could buy in smaller quantities that were in a larger format.
  23. Looking for something that can be bought in smaller quantities, has decent size and is available. Opinions on which is better? R&J Club Kings or Partagas Capitols? Both being in five packs at relatively decent prices has me interested. Thanks!
  24. If it is actually a Limoges box it is worth the $200 IMO.
