  1. Congratulations to you and Frank, Lisa. Good vibes sent your way.
  2. Good thoughts and prayers sent your way Lisa. Feel better.
  3. I tend to agree with you on this one Colt. Cuba is years behind cigar making and quality control, compared to Padron, Oliva, Fuente....ect. The lure to Cubans to me is their unique flavor, and perhaps smoking something I'm not suppose to have. Their profile can only be had for Cuban tobacco. It is the soil and the unique micro climate they have that makes them what they are. When Habanos SA started freezing boxes for beetle control, Oliva had been doing that for 30 years. Just remember when you smoke a Cuban cigar you are smoking a government made product, I think that should put things in perspective.
  4. This was what I was going to say. They only smoke a portion of the cigar. I recall it being the first third but perhaps less. How the hell could you rate a cigar without smoking the whole cigar. I recently smoked a Monty Robusto LE 2001, the cigar was amazing till the last third where I was over whelmed with ammonia. CA would never have known that if they rated it. My conclusion when it comes to CA rating I call Bullshit. Now Rob, Ken and Smitty you guys get a To bad you don't review many NC's
  5. Congrats Rob. Me and the girlfriend bought one last summer for the yard. Great for summer time parties. I find a lot of my recipes from a website. http://www.drinksmixer.com/ Lots a good ones, have fun trying them out.
  6. I'm with you on that one Jimmy. I just love it when people tell me how it is to walk in my shoes. Back to the topic, Chrysler has made some of the worst cars and I would never buy another one.
  7. I'm an electrician by day, and a gigolo by night.
  8. Great recommendations but not Dominican.
  9. The new place looks great Prez. Congrats, and thanks to those that made it happen. P.S Very happy my avatar is working too. Simple thing amuse simple minds.
  10. » Never Seen them before » »
  11. » » For me, Every woman is acceptable. I can't make up my mind, just send them all.
  12. Smitty......I had no idea.
  13. I will have to say this is a very tough task. To come up with the perfect name to encompass all of the things that you want to make this magazine about is nearly impossible. Sure there are many good catchy ones, but one that will actually capture the cigar lifestyle..........mmmmmmmm. There we have it folks Cigar Lifestyle, or if we are limiting or focusing on Habanos......... Habanos Lifestyle. That is my second submission.:-D
  14. » i would not say that they were dog rockets but i am a firm believer that » the mag46's need a minimum of 18 months, and two years would be better, » before they turn from fairly bland and uninteresting cigars to something » really worthwhile. just one example. Funny you mention the Mag46's. My first one was a gift from a friend, I was told it had about 4 years of age on it. From my memory it was a very complex cigar and evolved through at least three major changes. It was a great smoke and one that I surely had add to my regular rotation. Well I finally purchased a box, waited about 6 weeks till I sampled my first from the box. As you stated, bland......not bad but certainly nothing to get excited about. I'm patiently waiting. I also find that the Upmanns seem to gain a fuller body with age, while all other cigars will mellow.
