  1. Buying very little of anything lately as my personal inventory is deep, but my last 6-10 have been NC.
  2. Okay, good to know. Thanks. I just got the last four of these from a friend this weekend. Have yet to try one.
  3. Excellent! Sorry I missed the “team”. I was there as well. Great stuff!
  4. Can’t quite make out all the symbols…. Were it a newer code I could figure out what they are, but i never got into Cubans then and have no idea what this code means. looks like NO-SU-SS-ll?
  5. Wow. Can’t even imagine buying a lighter for that kind of coin…
  6. Yeah, I thought I remembered that discussion, but I’ll tell ya, I’m remembering less and less…. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  7. I’ve had these a long while (thanks, Rob!), and in looking them over after finding them in my ridiculous collection noticed the bands are Regional Canada, but it’s a RE release for the AP. I am trying to remember if we discussed it in the past, but I am getting old….
  8. Good to see you and Hamlet both, Rob. safe travels!! BUZZ
  9. Ultimately how many cigars have been submitted and how many analyzed at this point? Have still had discussion with detractors. The latest claims this is a non scientific “case study” of a sample size of ten. I’m certain there have been more….
  10. Di and Rob, really pleased for you both! Congratulations!
  11. I found a few minutes to sit and enjoy a favorite Friday night. Have yet to be disappointed in a Coloniales. What I’ve enjoyed has been very consistent. This box was partially hidden in the Cigar Jenga that is my old Ice Box Humidor. Paired with cool water and a nice fire. Cold draw was raisins. Light-up was nuttiness and a sharp ginger spice which persisted throughout. A distinct creaminess entered by the end of the first third and persisted through the remainder of the smoke. Not much of the whispy floral character I’ve enjoyed in these, but it wasn’t missed as the nuts, ginger and cream flavors were intense. Smoke production was excellent and the smoke had a thick, almost chewy character to it. Excellent! Smoking time was about 70 minutes. Overall rating 92.

  12. Congratulations, @JohnS!! WELL deserved, mate! I thought I read somewhere that MOTY includes 1 year unlimited access to Rob’s personal AND business humidors!! That is SO COOL!! Enjoy yourself!! 😬
  13. Making cigar rests today. Probably wrench on the ‘ole Ford a bit. Wife’s new range arrived. She’s wanting to make a split pea soup on it tonight. And i imagine I’ll fire up a nice fire and smoke something grand. Edit: And if it doesn’t rain I need to re-caulk the pool overhang and start refilling it. Happy New Year, all!
  14. Hear, Hear! Definitely looking forward to 2023. Haven’t Zoom’d in a while and I’ll try to hop on of course. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all!
  15. Trying to finish the odd bits on by truck engine build while patiently awaiting a replacement torque converter for the incorrect one that was sent….
  16. I haven’t had an El Septimo I’ve liked. Im going out on a limb and assuming I wouldn’t like that lighter either 🤣
  17. That’d go nicely in my snare collection!
  18. Early/mid 60’s Rogers Holiday “Top Hat” kit. I needed a 6th drum kit like I needed an extra hole in my head. Wife was surprisingly accommodating…. Local estate sale find.
  19. The Havana Cazadores line (plain brown label) and the Black Label line are two of my favorites, but I don’t think of CC when I have have them. Just excellent cigars. the most CC like Tat I’ve ever had was the 2019 release Escasos, but they were limited. They’re still out there however. Seemingly no ligero, complex smoke that really doesn’t change start to finish, but is excellent from the start, so who cares. I’ve stockpiled multiple boxes and wish I had more.
  20. Looking forward to your sharing the address when it’s in motion.
  21. I’ve had several. They’ve been quite good.
  22. Perfect. Thanks all. 👍🏽
  23. If not, where would one look for “the real thing”?
  24. I know you are, and I do appreciate the enormous effort involved. The fellows I gave them to (and the hats btw!) LOVED them. I can order again and keep fingers crossed and if they work for me, great. If not I’ll make some other fellows happy. 👍🏽 I’ll shut up now.
