  1. » I see all these new Aristocrats being purchased, and I'm wondering if one » of you fellow FOH'ers would be interested in selling any of your old wine » fridges. » » I've already got a large hope chest which I converted into humidor a long » time ago, but I would now like to invest in an affordable temp-controlled » unit (just until I can afford one of those fancy Aristocrats). » » Thanks, gang. New fridges are pretty cheap. Here is the one I'm eyeing. Large capacity, temp control, and thermoelectric. http://www.haieramerica.com/en/product/HVTF48DPABS/specs
  2. Never had a 2 before. How do they stack up against sig1 or the CoRo? Nice review.
  3. » I have a Ramón Allones Belicoso Fino, Dec 2004 that I have been saving, I » will probably also smoke a 1999 Vegas Robaina Famosos. » » New Years Eve, that is another story, I'll be sitting here at the house » posting on the boards smoking a very good cigar, yet to be determined, but » I believe that I have a Special Occasion Cigar or two that I can burn to » bring in 2007! Tampa, please jot down your thoughts on the RABF, I enjoy reading your reviews. Lancero, and VR Unicos if I get the time.
  4. Enough already, stop talking about them. :-D
  5. » I'm looking to pick up some habanos but I have not smoked many,so I do not » know what I want. I like strong and mediun cigars any ideas?? » I would start with a sampler of singles before committing to boxes. I would get Partgas Shorts, Ramon Allones Small Clubs, Monti #4, Bolivar PC or Royals coronas and R&Y #4. You'll get a good spectrum of different profiles. Get 2 or 3 of each ciagr. Good Luck.
  6. Howdy and welcome.
  7. » A classic robusto and a must have in any humidor that anyone is aging stock » in. Night and day against the PSD4... they are just different cigars. I » highly reccomend that you pick up a few boxes. One to smoke and one to » forget about. » » CD You are correct Sir. I'll have close to 4 boxes of RASS. '04's are lacking in flavor currently, dumb period, the '05s are in sick period, so my 06's are to smoke now and hopefully before the '06's go into sick period the 04's would be ready to smoke. My concern is will the flavor return to the '04s. They already had 2 years on them when I got the cab, so I did not get to smoke any when fresh. Perhaps, they lacked flavor when fresh. I guess time will tell on the '04s. To be honest I've not had a satisfying PSD4 to date, never had pre '03 PSD4 either. I'm hesitant to buy anymore PSD4s now. However, I love the P. Shorts. Are the '06 PSD4s as good as the Shorts?
  8. » The RASS is one of my personal favorites. The flavor profile is rich » earthy tobacco with a background of Floral and fruit. While the young RASS » can be said to display some tannic flavors, the RASS is one cigar that » develops tremendously over time. I understand from Rob and others that I » respect their opinion from, that the 2006 codes display the potiential to » not only smoke very well now, but will also develop into a great cigar in » the future. I have a box of 2001's that I ration myself because they are » so friggin good that I don't want to share any because I can not replace » them. Unfortunately, it is basically impossible to find any aged RASS » these days, so you have to age them yourself. The difference in a 5 year » old RASS is night and day from a young RASS. I highly suggest that you » invest in a couple of boxes, smoke one slowly and age the other! You will » not regret it! With all of this PR I just ordered a box of RASS from '06. I've a cab from July '04 which I thought it would be the S**t when I got them 8 months ago. However, the flavors are still semi muted at this time. I'm hoping the dumb period would end soon and the flavors come back in force. For now I'll be smoking the 06's when I get them, that is if they are not entering their sick period. Smoking is getting to technical for me these days and Cubans are PITA when it comes to proper storage, aging and maturing. Question: Tampa, in general how long does it take for RASSs to come out of their dumb period?
  9. » He Mr. Prez.... » » You're on record as saying that Cuba has produced some outstanding regular » production cigars this year. How about putting together a sampler of the » 2006 entries that you think are the best. Maybe five each of five » different cigars or perhaps two each of ten samples? » » I'd go for that, and I bet many others would as well. » » Just an idea from your post on another (HCF) board. I would love to get a sampler of the '06 cigars. Great idea Van.
  10. They are all good in their own way. I love RASS, VR Famosos, and JL #2
  11. » » OMG!!! That is some great stuff!! » » » » More please!!!!! » » More girls. Go here for more girls. it is free. www.bullz-eye.com
  12. Touch Down San Diego.:-P
  13. » due to my current frustration with my standard humidifiers grr i » would like to invest in a good electrically controlled humi, any » suggestions as to which brand or type, I've heard cigar spa are quite » good, well any advice would be appreciated! » » merci ;-) How about some beads? http://www.heartfeltindustries.com/Bead%20Set%20Up.htm
  14. My wife just plain out hates cigar smell on my clothes and breath. So when I get more cigars than usual, she makes comments such as "Great, more ASSTray smell". It is never about money and she has never made any suggestion that she is going to throw them out or anything. She knows they are very close to my heart and she respects that. I try my best to stay within my budget too, I do not give her any more reasons to be anti cigars. Do I think she wants me to stop buying cigars, Yes. I can feel her body language when she says "oh another box showed up for you today" Maybe she is just jealous of my collection:-D
