kuma Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Am I the only one that feels 24:24 is getting to the point how LFTW / LFTH felt. Pressure Packed! Could be wrong but my old twitch (left foot, right eye) is humming like a V10 Viper......
Habana Mike Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Does seem many offerings sell out pretty quickly. You gotta jump if you want something so you don't miss out! 2
terrantheman Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I wish I didn't miss the Connie A's and the Monte 2's!!!
SofaKing Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Its has now become habitual...every day, 8pm ish I'm hitting refresh like an idiot in anticipation. 1
SmittyinAZ Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Lol the other night 150+ were lurking doing the same. You just never know when the ones you want will show up.
kuma Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 Just one big ferris wheel or one large going round sushi table. wait and grab the next OH TORO (fatty tuna).....
ethernomad Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I came on the scene after LFTW/LFTH was replaced by 24:48. I've gathered that it stands for Live From The Warehouse/Humidor, but how was it different from the current daily/weekly deals? Posted using Tapatalk
Habana Mike Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 LFTH/LFTW was a real-time event. Rob would post a box and whoever called it first got it. Was like a madhouse sometimes.
ShortFatHokie Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Does seem many offerings sell out pretty quickly. You gotta jump if you want something so you don't miss out! Yep. I used to see what Pres posted, slept on it, and then ordered the next day. Can't do that anymore...
kuma Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 Live from the Warehouse / Humi was action packed. I guess it kinda had a high burnout rate amoung bidders and the staff who had to deal with the aftermath once the dust settled. Talk about "first in" **** if you just blinked a bunch of boxes that were posted would be sold out and you would have to wait until the next round (15 - 20 minutes) before a new posting of smokes. We still may get a couple of these you never know, once everyone is well rested. Let's hope so I got some of my best smokes on LFTH/W, keep fingers crossed mate. 1
Geaux Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Break it down for the new guy --- is the 24:24 an everyday thing? I thought It was more of a when Rob felt like it type of thing, but it seems to be going on everyday. Will it eventually come to an end? Will there be any LFTHs coming up? Has the 24:24 replaced the LFTHs? And yeah - I am kicking myself that I missed out on the CoRos and Sig2s.... So is there any rhyme or reason to what comes up? Is it likely that CoRos will again hit the 24:24? If you miss, is that it - game over? Thanks for filling in the new guy. I fill so outta the loop here.

We do put it up every day (one for the weekends). The only exclusion to that is if we are away. Tomorrow is such a day as Di and I have to head off for a friends wedding so tomorrows will incorporate the weekend. LFTW will be back for a few appearances this year as a bit of fun. Unfortunately to do it as often as we did became a nightmare administratively. The 24:24 is far more manageable for us (that would be Di ). 1
leftimatic Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Ah the LFTH. I still wake up screaming "One box of PSP please, emailing Di as we speak!! Send, Send God Damn It!!!" It taught me how to truly abuse my computer. And that bottom feeding the next day, after the dust cleared is, well okay. I find I have more self control with the 24:24. Not quite the sense of urgency or the fear of loss. (Maybe cause I'm still reeling from the Christmas sale) The credit card is thanking Pres for the change that's for sure. 2
LeafLover Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I love it. Gives me something to look forward to daily.
