CaptainQuintero Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 This reference to the first, second and final third of a cigar keeps popping up in Gerard Pere et Fils, Havana Cigars. They even make mention of it as being included in the book due to the popularity of the term in the mid 90's. It's the first time I've ever heard mention of the words. Was the usage widespread or a bit of a flash in the pan thing?
Smallclub Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Seriously? It's the famous "foin/divin/purin" in spanish, I've always heard it, it's in almost every book about cigars… It's reminiscent of a time when the last third of the cigars was hardly smokable…
CaptainQuintero Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Not even once! I like the slurry one, that should be brought back for the first, second and final third of the entire Monte Opens! I think I'm going to start using these from now on, much more fun. It avoids the whole "third third" problem too 1
