MIKA27 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Not to diminish your initial post in any way - we've all discussed similar here, surroundings etc and I feel the same - but this hits home with a sledge hammer.Your post could be a cigar commercial, should be. What is a cigar add typically - the man in the tuxedo with the slinky woman, a cigar resting on a satin pillow, etc. I can't recall ever seeing one with a group of friends hanging out and laughing it up. Perhaps that might seem to make the cigar secondary, which in those types of scenarios it should be. I agree that in trying to portray their cigars as purely luxury items, some manufacturers have indeed missed the boat. Perfectly said Colt. I myself prefer to have a cigar whilst among friends. Sure, I enjoy a quiet relaxing moment on my own with a really nice CC, but it is so much more enjoyable whilst amongst a couple close friends having a chat, drink, laugh and cigar. Cigars are not necessarily a luxury item as both rich (Well to do) and modest (Average joes) can enjoy a great cigar. Perhaps they should ditch the Tuxedo and bring fourth a more realistic picture on how cigars are generally enjoyed as noted in El Prez's post.
