I would like to see a small RG run. Punch Ninfas, Partagas Palamas Grandes Etc. Even some never seen before Marcas with this size. RA and SLR Ninfa!! 50 cabs would be nice as well. I always liked the look of the Charlotte boxes, so my Vote is a RA or SLR Ninfa in a 50ct DB!!

The process has begun and we are looking to mid/late 2010 for the first release. The timeframe precludes anything too mindblowing for 2010 but we will be working simultaneously for the following years in order to maintain a 1-2 product rollout per year.

A "Vitola Seleccion" would be great.

Limited releases with a dedicated Vitola - The idea would be:

* choose 5 brands

* create ONE vitola not normally in those brands line up

* package them all together in a traditional packaging

For example - An 898 box with representations of this vitola and expressions by Bolivar, RA, Por Larr, VR and whoever else.

That's first first idea that came to my mind as well but would add an aged limited release in a special humidor. Also, include a REAL humidification device and make it a REAL humidor, not one that leaks like a sieve.

This is from Nino's flying cigar blog. Is this what you mean except our own ideas and perhaps better. Some of them really sucked. Some of them were Regional editions so not these, but they have the monte. 4 travel humidor and the Robusto Cube.

How about a run of La Escepción Cazadores Miramar or Longos?

I'm not sure what the issues would be with copyrights, reviving a long gone brand/blends, etc., but I bet they'd sell...

how about a cigar "wallet" folding leather cedar lined interior designed for as many as six cigars, perhaps RA coronas or a new smaller thinner RA or por larranyagga like a serie du conn a sewer...

One more notion that I think is probably too complicated/time consuming and may be impossible to execute at the HSA level (but might work at the PCC level).

For each of five (or more) years, put aside 20 or 40 boxes of cigars of the same popular marque/vitola. Break them open at the end (or beginning) of the 5th year, and repackage them as a vertical tasting sampler, one or two cigars of each vintage to a package.

Again, probably too complicated to execute, but I would think they could command a nice premium.

I've been trying for long with no apparent success to build a bandwagon for the return of the "Flying Pig." How about a Bolivar (or if HSA really wants to brand all figurados Cuabas, a Cuaba) Flying Pig. Sell them in a "piggy bank" shaped jar, perhaps in quantities of 12 or 25, depending on how big and heavy the jar would need to be.

The pig's head comes off the jar to give access to the cigars in the pig's belly.

How about a 30 box: Seleccion Delicados. 5 each of Bolivar, Juan Lopez, Por Larranaga, Ramon Allones, Sancho Panza, and Vegas Robaina.

The Torcedor Collection, A box of 10-25 cigars rolled by a single torcedor with tobaccos selected personally by that torcedor, simple packaging, bands with facsimiles of autographs, numbered boxes, etc.... eg: Jose Cueto Salomones, Rodolfo Toboada Pyramides Grande, Yolanda Medina Robusto Extra, Reynaldo Gonzalez Canonazo, Hamlet Flying Pigs, etc... did I mention that I get a box of each gratis for A "Vitola Seleccion" would be great.
