Why don't I often smoke larger ring cigars; I can't taste them? Or maybe I can't taste bland cigars and they are more often of the larger ring variety! Yeah... it is the chicken and egg thing again. In any event, I would have been more satisfied with either chicken or eggs! Too bad to, and a further lesson that you cannot judge a book by it's cover (another cliche, I know!). I was in fact very impressed with the looks of this cigar. Based on looks I was really excited to smoke this one. The tell was likely the aroma, very weak and unimpressive.

One of the things that I have always enjoyed most about SCdLH cigars is their floral, aromatic nature. There is a jasmine tea that I drink on occasion which often reminds me of these cigars. This cigar had a similar quality, it just lacked a robust quantity. This cigar was very unimpressive to smoke. The fact is you can't write a lot about a cigar that seemed nothing more than a pale shadow, almost a memory of a better cigar. I have posted up my tasting notes just to see how this cigar rated numerically, just to show you how shallow it really was. As a result I stopped smoking and chucked the cigar shortly after my ashtray shot.

If I had to analogize this experience it would have to come as a comparison to my tea comments above. For the record I detest milk in tea! It is an appalling combination of tastes! This cigar, with its weak constitution, was watered down even more as if one had deliberately drowned it with milk. Non-fat milk. Non-fat powdered milk. Non-fat powdered milk with too much water added... -:o

sounds like your El Morro had the same characteristics as the Fuerza I had this week - they look great but there's just no delivery. It's a shame, but it's hard to find a reason to buy another. Ho hum.
