I had good cards early, but little help from the common cards, so ended up short stacked for most of the game.

Then the cards went cold. But with Smithy still at the table, I knew I still had a chance.

Lo and behold, flappy gums busts out, the cards get hot, and I manage to make it to the final.

Short stacked is the understatement. I think with three left Colt got down to 800 or so a few times with 200/400 blinds. I kept trying to eliminate him, but he kept making good pre flop all in calls that held up. Finally I was toast when I ran right into his pocket aces. Great comeback and game Colt!

As it turns out Smithy's poker game can be distracted by an electronic female avatar. Who knew?
