rfenst Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I just received a half box of Quintero Panetelas as a gift. They are in cellophane. I cannot read the date clearly, even with a magnifying glass, but the box bottom is definitely stamped "REVISADO". Interestingly, there are two warranty seals on the box, one on top of the other. The first warranty seal has the code: AR116776.The second code on the warranty sticker is: DL136906. I do not question that they are real; who in their right mind would other making fake Quintero in cellophane! What gives with these oddities? Any ideas?

Colt45 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Yes, they were re-inspected at the warehouse, then the second seal placed over the first, along with the revisado stamp. Check this link (try a search as well): Link

They go and open box after box of that month and year code. With the Quintero's I suspect that this is what has occured.

An odd one here: I have two "revisado" boxes, both revised on the 11/04. Each box purchased in person in two different parts of the world one year apart... When I first smoked them they were were acrid and not good. I have since been smoking them throughout the last year and I enjoy them quite a bit. I think If these and JLP Cremas were the only Habanos in production I would still smoke them over most of the NC's I have smoked.
